Single Sign On (SSO) with Microsoft Entra

Prerequisites

  • If there is a local Active Directory present, it should be synced with Entra ID. Link
  • Have admin privileges for Microsoft Entra.
  • There should be an existent account in Softdrive with the user email address before the user tries to login to softdrive with Microsoft SSO.


Step-by-Step Guide

1. Login to Softdrive with  your  Entra ID

  • Select consent on behalf of your organization before clicking accept.




2. Configure Microsoft Entra ID Single Sign-On (SSO)

  1. Go to: https://entra.microsoft.com

  2. Log in with your admin credentials.

  3. Go to Enterprise App

  4. With "All Application" search for Softdrive


  5. Click on the softdrive app that pops up. Then choose Users and Groups




  6. Choose the users or groups that will have access.


     
  7. Check conditional access and confirm that those policies are met for the users that are intended to use Softdrive.



3. Enable SSO Authentication Method.

  1. Log in to the Softdrive Dashboard https://dashboard.softdrive.co/


  2. Navigate to Settings-> Authentication

  3. Make sure Microsoft SSO is enabled.


3. Using Microsoft Entra ID single Sign-On in Softdrive

  1. Open Softdrive App, choose the "Sign in with Microsoft" option.
     

  2. Login with Microsoft Credentials.
     

  3. Once logged in, click on "Consent on behalf your organization" option might show up again.

4) You should be able to see your computers. 


Troubleshooting

1) If when you log in, you do not see any computer, please contact your network administrator and have him assign a computer to you. 

2) If you get the error saying "No Account is associated with the provided email', make sure the user has been added in the application configuration in Entra. (Step 1 above)
